What data the app processes

OtoGYM Beta stores on the device the hearing mapping result, the migraine and tinnitus answers, the usage history, the settings and the reminders. This data is used to run the app, to adapt the sound and to show overviews to the user.

With your consent the app sends usage telemetry to the OtoGYM server:

• the modules and functions used;
• session time, duration, pauses, how it ended, the sound and the timer;
• app openings, screen usage and aggregate usage-frequency indicators;
• whether the post-session question was answered;
• app version and language, and the operating system version.

The hearing mapping result and the content of the migraine and tinnitus answers stay on the device. The usage rows on the server are not linked to any persistent user or device identifier.

Usage telemetry is used solely to analyse the use of OtoGYM Beta and to improve the app.

Consent

The basis for processing the health data on the device is your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

You can withdraw your consent at any time on the app page "My data". This stops further telemetry, deletes the data on the device and closes the app.

Retention and security

Data on the device is kept until you delete it in the app or remove the app.

Telemetry without a user identifier is kept for analysing the use of the app.

Data travels to the server encrypted; the server is located in the European Union, as required by law.

Your rights

You can view and delete the data collected on the device in the settings section.

Website

The feedback form on the website stores what you write or choose in it, the time of sending, and the device and browser data. Your email address is used only to reply and for the newsletter, if you chose them. The website uses no cookies and no analytics.
